Warning: That $60 purple shampoo ruined my highlights

I bought this super pricey purple shampoo from a salon boutique downtown thinking it would make my blonde pops brighter. Used it three times last week and it left a weird lilac tint on my foils that I still haven't fixed. Now I'm out $60 and have to do a toner treatment to get rid of it. Anyone else regret splurging on a hyped up product?

@fiona_kim's 2-3 minutes idea makes sense actually, I left mine on way longer and got that same gross lilac mess.

Honestly I gotta disagree here. I've been using that same $60 purple shampoo for about 8 months now and my highlights have never looked better. The lilac tint you got sounds like you left it on too long or maybe your hair is more porous than you think. Mine says to only leave it for 2-3 minutes max. I think a lot of people forget these are toners not regular shampoos. Maybe give it another shot but with way less time and see if that changes things.
