Tried dipping the $1.50 hot dog in the $1.99 soft serve, and now I get why nobody talks about it

Grabbed a dog and a vanilla cup at the Costco in Nashua last Friday and dunked it on a dare from my kid. The salt and the cold actually work together for the first two bites, then it turns into this weird greasy mush that I could not finish. Learned that a $3.49 combo can still be a mistake. Anyone else mess with the menu like this or am I the only one wrecking a perfectly good dog?
