Changed my mind about paper load charts after a buddy showed me his phone
Always ran the app for everything, thought paper charts were for old timers. Then my guy in Tulsa had zero signal on a site and pulled out the laminated card, had the lift figured in 2 minutes while I was stuck. Now I keep the book in the cab, not as a backup but as the first thing I reach for. Anyone else go back to paper after a dead zone scare?

Yeah, been there. Dead zones are a real thing way more often than people think. I got burned once on a site with zero bars and had to drive 20 minutes back to the office just to grab the specs. Now the paper load chart sits right on the passenger seat, always. It ain't about being old school, it's about not getting stuck waiting on a signal. Plus, honestly, flipping through the pages sometimes makes me catch things I'd scroll right past on the phone.
