We were lifting a 12-ton HVAC unit and my usual mental math said we had 15% margin. Actually ran the numbers with the crane's computer and we were sitting at 89% with wind factor. Riggers were already hooked up and pushing to send it. That extra 5 minutes saved us from a nasty tip-over, has anyone else caught a close call like this on paper vs computer?
