Hit 1,000 lifts on the same load chart today and it made me stop and think
I've been running this Liebherr LTM 1050 for about 8 months now, mostly on a big warehouse project out in Durham. This morning I finished up my 1,000th pick according to my logbook, and I just sat in the cab for a minute surprised it added up that fast. Each lift was different, some were just rebar bundles at 15 feet, others were HVAC units at 80 feet. Has anyone else hit a round number like that and felt kind of weird about how many loads you actually move in a day?

@viola_lopez30 must not have a logbook because some of us like to look back and see what we actually did all day lol. Yeah 1,000 picks sounds crazy but when you break it down it's only like 30 or 40 a day over 8 months, which is nothing when you're slinging rebar and HVAC units all shift. I hit 500 once on a tower crane gig and it felt like I should have gotten a trophy or something, but nope, just another Tuesday with a sore back.

Counting lifts sounds boring honestly lol, just do the work.

Okay but why does something have to be fun to be useful though? I track my lifts exactly because I hate guessing. If I don't count, I don't know if I'm actually getting stronger or just making the same mistakes. Saying "just do the work" is cool until you hit a wall and have no idea what you did last month to figure out why. How do you even know if you're improving without some kind of number to look at?
