Totally feel that. Used to spend hours just getting the right angle and securing everything. Now you slap on a lightweight carbon fiber boom, tighten one clamp, and you're done in five minutes. The tech improvements are insane but honestly, I kinda miss the process sometimes. Made you really learn your gear inside and out.

Yeah, the "learn your gear inside and out" part is real, @shane_clark. I bet half the people with that new carbon boom couldn't tell you how to re-grease the old clamp mechanism if their life depended on it. We traded that deep knowledge for five extra minutes of scrolling on our phones.
