At a job site in Seattle last month, one old-timer pointed twice and tapped his hard hat, and I knew exactly where to set the beam without any radio chatter - ever had a signal guy who just clicked with you that well?

Read that OSHA requires standard signals for safety reasons.

Dude yes, I worked at a warehouse a few years back and they drilled those hand signals into us during orientation. It was actually super helpful when a forklift was backing up near a loud machine, nobody had to yell.
