Vent: My $80 crane level indicator died halfway through a critical lift yesterday.

The cheap sensor got water inside during a morning rain and just blanked out, so what's a solid brand that can handle some weather?

Eighty bucks for a sensor that quits in a little rain is crazy. Honestly, you should check out Trimble, their stuff is built for jobsites.

Ever try the Bosch that Kevin974 mentioned?

My last cheap sensor lasted about as long as a snow cone in July. Trimble is solid like Dylan said, but I've had good luck with the Bosch GRL 300 HV too. It's sealed up tight and the battery lasts forever. I learned the hard way that spending a bit more upfront saves a huge headache later.

Keven's right about the Bosch holding up in wet weather, I've heard similar things.
