Honestly, I used to think every story needed a big twist to be good. My kid's 3rd grade teacher changed my mind.

My college writing professor said the same thing. He made us read stories with simple, honest endings. Changed how I see good writing completely.

My old creative writing professor in college drilled that into us. I used to chase clever endings, but now I see the power in just letting a story be true.
