Just realized I spent $75 on a 'premium' prompt generator subscription that basically just rephrases the same five ideas.
After three months of getting 'write a story about a haunted house' in slightly different fonts, I finally canceled it and now I'm just using a deck of tarot cards for random plot points, which works way better for me.

That "premium" subscription trap is everywhere now, just repackaged basics for more money.

It's just a new name for the old bait and switch.

Yeah, the "premium" label is just a shiny wrapper now.

Had a buddy who paid like $40 a month for a "creative muse" app. He used it for two months. All it did was give him one word prompts like "train" or "garden" and then suggest he write a haiku about it. Now he just flips open a random cookbook and picks ingredients as story ideas, says it works better than anything he paid for.
