My cat walked on my keyboard and wrote a better opening line than I did

Last month I left my draft open for five minutes and came back to find 'The detective was a sentient bowl of oatmeal' typed across the screen. Has anyone else gotten a decent prompt from pure accident?

What do you do with those weird accidental lines? I had a typo that changed "the old house" to "the cold horse" and I just ran with it, made the whole story about this ghostly horse haunting a valley. Sometimes the mistake is the whole idea.

Honestly, that "sentient bowl of oatmeal" thing is a perfect example of how my best ideas always seem to come from total mistakes.

Ever try to draw a dog and it looks like a weird potato? That's how I ended up making a whole comic about a blob monster. My best stuff happens when the plan falls apart. Like that time I spilled coffee on a sketch and the stain looked like a cool mountain range. You just gotta roll with the weird.
