Showerthought: I somehow wrote 50,000 words in one month and didn't even notice until I checked my word counter
I was just messing around with a daily writing prompt for a local horror anthology, then I tallied up my progress and hit 50,387 words across 30 days. Has anyone else ever accidentally passed a big milestone like that without planning it?
Man, that's wild! I had something similar happen with a travel blog I was keeping on a cross-country road trip, just jotting down little observations each night, and I ended up with over 40,000 words before I even realized it. It's funny how those small, daily habits can sneak up on you like that. Definitely a nice surprise to get that notification, though your mileage may vary on whether the draft is any good.
80k words with no point, I used to think that was such a waste of time but honestly that sounds kinda freeing (like pure exploration without worrying about the destination).
