The prompt contest at my library was rigged and I can prove it
Went to the Springfield Library's monthly short story contest last Friday. There were 42 entries and the winner was a sci-fi piece that clearly used a AI generator, I've read enough to spot the style. The judge was a retired English teacher who admitted she didn't read past the first page of most submissions. Has anyone else dealt with contests that favor the loudest or flashiest entries over actual craft?
