The reading night that made me start outlining everything
Last month I hosted a 24 hour write-in at my local library in Portland and watched three people scrap 40 page drafts because they had no plan. One guy literally shouted 'who is the villain even' at 3am and that's when it clicked for me. Now I make everyone in my writing group pitch their ending before they start, and the difference is night and day. Has anyone else had a moment that forced them to change their whole drafting process?
