Used to write long flowery descriptions. Now I keep it to 3 sentences max.

Back in 2022 I was the worst. Five paragraphs just to describe a sunset. Then I joined a weekly flash fiction challenge. 100 word limit. No room for fluff. Now my dialogue actually moves the plot. My beta reader noticed the difference last month. Said my pacing is tighter. Anyone else find constraints actually help their writing?

Didn't a daily 50-word limit force you to make every word count?

Oh, I've noticed that too. It's like how people used to write long letters home from vacation, but now everyone just sends a quick photo with a caption. We've all gotten used to cutting to the chase.
