Wrote a poem a day for 31 days and my best one came from a typo
I set a goal to finish a short story every week for a month, which is 4 stories total. Story number 3 was about a lighthouse keeper, but I accidentally wrote 'light house' as in a house made of lights. I spent an hour trying to fix it before I just leaned into the idea. That draft turned into a weird little piece about a family that lives in a holiday light display, and it got the most comments out of anything I've posted here. The other 3 stories are fine, but that one mistake beat all my careful planning. Anyone else ever have a slip-up that worked better than the original idea?
