Wrote a story with a 3am alarm clock rule... here's what happened last month
I joined a 24 hour writing challenge last month where you had to set your alarm for 3am and write whatever came to mind for 30 minutes. First morning I just typed 'why' over and over. Second morning I accidentally wrote a full scene about a raccoon negotiating a treaty with a garbage truck. The organizer said my story won the weirdest entry award. Has anyone else tried those oddball prompt rules like writing by candlelight or with your non dominant hand?

Three hundred raccoons signing a treaty is funny on the surface, but who actually sat down to negotiate with them? It feels more like a joke that got stretched into a whole scene than some deep political statement. I'm not convinced it adds anything serious to the plot.
