730 credit score felt like a wall I couldn't break through
I sat at 730 for almost a year no matter what I did. Then I paid off a $2,400 store card and jumped to 768 in one month. Has anyone else seen a random plateau like that break with one move?

That one big push is exactly what it takes sometimes. It's like the credit bureaus are just waiting for something to tip the scales, you know? A friend of mine had been stuck at a 720 for like two years, then he paid off a small collections thing (under $300) and jumped nearly 40 points the next month. Makes you wonder what else is just sitting there waiting to bump you up.
