$79 credit app missed a collection my free report caught in 20 minutes
Last January I signed up for one of those flashy credit apps after a friend swore it caught an error on her report. I paid $79 for the year and honestly it just showed me the same FICO score I already get from my bank. When I actually pulled my full reports from annualcreditreport.com I found a collections account from a gym in Dallas that I canceled in 2019. The app never flagged it, I only noticed because I went line by line myself. Took me 20 minutes to dispute it with the bureaus and it got removed. So I wasted almost 80 bucks and the free route worked better. Has anyone else paid for a service that missed something obvious on their report?
