Dispute letter template file got corrupted, lost 45 days of progress
I had a charge from a rental car place in Phoenix that I never used, $340 on my card. I typed up a big dispute letter with all the receipts and dates, saved it on my laptop. After two weeks of waiting I went to submit it and the file was all messed up, wouldn't open. Took me another month to redo everything from memory, and by then the credit bureau said I missed their deadline window. Has anyone else had a saved letter or doc just fail on them right when it mattered most?
Yeah I swear my laptop picks the WORST possible moments to eat files, last time my grocery list got corrupted and I still don't know if I bought cat food or not. That rental car thing is brutal though, hope you get it sorted eventually.
Oh man, I read somewhere that most file corruption happens when the power flickers or the device runs out of battery, so maybe that's the real culprit here. Hope your cat situation gets cleared up before you end up with a pantry full of tuna!
