Dispute took 6 months over a $45 error

Sent a dispute to Equifax about a paid collections account that kept showing as open, they said 30 days processing. Six months and three certified letters later I got a single line removed, anyone else hit that kind of wall with the big three?

Sometimes those disputes just bounce between automated systems and never touch a human.
