My credit score jumped 40 points after I fixed an old medical bill error

I checked my report from AnnualCreditReport.com and saw a $150 hospital charge from two years ago that my insurance should have paid. I sent a dispute letter with my proof, and the credit bureaus removed it within a month. Has anyone else had luck clearing up old medical debts this way?
