My credit union told me my 720 score meant nothing here
Walked into a local credit union in Cleveland to refinance my car and they pulled my credit, then said my 720 score from Experian wasn't enough because they only look at their internal scoring model, so has anyone else run into a lender using their own secret formula instead of the standard FICO?
That "internal scoring model" thing is just another way for them to make the rules up as they go. It's like how every store has its own rewards app now, you can't just use the same card everywhere and expect it to work.
