The gas station clerk who ran my credit card three times on accident
I was at a Shell station off I-35 last Tuesday and the guy hit the button three times, now I'm fighting with Discover to get two $47 pending charges dropped, anyone dealt with getting duplicate holds removed?

Yeah I remember reading something about how pending holds like that can actually take 7-10 business days to drop on their own even if it was the clerk's mistake, which is wild. @john_fisher is right that calling Discover is the fastest route, I had a similar situation with a gas station hold and they removed it in like 2 hours after I called. Your mileage might vary but don't just wait it out, hit up their customer service chat or phone line.

On accident" - it was the clerk's mistake, not yours. That's annoying but pending charges drop off in a few days usually. Just give Discover a call, they'll remove them faster than waiting it out.
