Dropped $90 on a hardware key and it paid off in one afternoon

I finally bought a YubiKey after putting it off for months. Cost me about $90 for two of them, one for my desk and one for travel. Last Tuesday I got a notification that someone tried to log into my email from a new device in another state. The 2FA prompt blocked them cold, and I didn't have to scramble to change a bunch of passwords like I used to. Has anyone else had a close call that made the upfront cost feel totally worth it?
