Just realized I was setting up my home router wrong for years because I never changed the default admin password.
A friend casually asked for my router's login during a game night last year, and when I told him it was just 'admin' and 'password', he gave me a look that said everything.

Wait, did she actually give him a death stare over a router password though? lol. I keep a note on my phone with all my default stuff like that because I've been burned before. Seriously, just write down the default admin login and keep it somewhere safe, it saves so many headaches later. And if you ever set a custom password, make sure it's something you'll actually remember, not just random numbers you'll forget by next week.
