Shoutout to the phishing email that got me because I was half asleep at 6am
Got a fake "Netflix payment failed" email last Tuesday around 6am before my shift. Two years ago I would've laughed at it. But this one looked perfect, right logo, right colors, even the sender name said Netflix. What got me was they spoofed the real support address, so my mail app showed the little verified check next to it. I clicked the link and it went to a page asking for my card. I typed the first 4 digits before my brain woke up and I closed the tab. Now I check the actual domain on every link by hovering, and 9 out of 10 of these have some junk like netflix-billing dot info. Scary how fast a tired brain just goes along with it.
Anyone else almost get got by one of these? What's your tell that it's fake?
