That's a good point, but honestly a strong password manager with unique passwords would have done the same thing for free.

Yeah, but the real win is that it stops the attempt before you even get a password prompt. A password manager can't stop a phishing site from grabbing your credentials if you type them in. The key just won't work there at all, so you get a hard stop instead of hoping you notice the fake URL.
