The morning I accidentally leaked a client's password list changed how I handle data
Back in February I was training a new client and left my notebook with 30 client passwords sitting on a bench at the YMCA for about 15 minutes before I realized it was gone. A woman found it and returned it to the front desk, but it scared me enough that I spent that entire weekend moving everyone to a password manager like Bitwarden. Has anyone else had a close call with physical data that pushed you to finally go digital?

Man, that's terrifying... I've had that same knot in my stomach when I thought I left something important behind at a job site. Physical notebooks are just too easy to misplace, and the moment you realize it's gone is pure panic. Glad you got it back and made the switch.

Pure panic" is the right way to put it. I had a similar moment with my phone once, thought I dropped it down an elevator shaft at a job and spent two hours tearing the place apart. Turns out it was in my jacket pocket the whole time, just had me thinking about how fast things can go south with one wrong move.

Digital backup saved my bacon more than once (way better than scrambling around).
