Tried LastPass for 2 years then switched to Bitwarden and it's not even close
LastPass had a breach in 2022 and I still stayed, but when they capped free users to one device type I finally switched. Bitwarden cost me $10 a year and my autofill actually works on mobile. Anyone else make the swap and feel stupid for waiting?

The 2022 breach was bad but the device type limit was what finally did it for me too. @susansingh I felt the same way about the autofill thing, it was broken on LastPass for years on my phone. Bitwarden just works without me having to fight it. Ten bucks a year feels like stealing compared to what I was paying before. I wasted way too long making excuses for a product that clearly didn't care about its users anymore.

Oh man I used to be the biggest LastPass defender. I remember telling people the breach was overblown and they fixed everything. But then I finally tried Bitwarden last month after my LastPass renewal came up and I feel like an idiot for waiting this long. The autofill on my phone actually works now which was my biggest pet peeve with LastPass. And paying $10 a year feels like nothing compared to what I was spending. You honestly changed my mind with this post because I thought it was just hype but now I get it.

Bitwarden is honestly the BEST decision I ever made for my passwords. I was one of those people who stuck with LastPass through the breach because I had all my passwords in there and it felt like a hassle to move. Finally switched last year after the device limit nonsense and man, I felt SO dumb for not doing it sooner. The autofill on Bitwarden actually works every single time on my phone and desktop which was my biggest complaint with LastPass. Ten bucks a year is nothing for what you get compared to what I was paying for LastPass premium. I remember manually copying passwords from my LastPass vault on my phone because the autofill just straight up refused to work half the time.
