My brother's 20 year old joke book saved my set last Friday

My brother swore by this beat up joke book he got at a garage sale in 2004. I used one of its puns about a math teacher at an open mic and it got the biggest laugh of the night. Has anyone else found gold in really old joke collections?

and honestly that's the best feeling when something old and dusty hits harder than all the new stuff. I've got a stack of Readers Digest joke pages from my grandpa that I swear are untouchable, the timing jokes just land different. The setup and payoff are so clean in those old books, like they knew comedy would get too complicated later.
