The self-checkout at the grocery store made me question my whole approach to dad jokes
I was standing there watching it flash 'unexpected item in bagging area' for the third time and it hit me that the machine is basically a dad joke judge. It scans your stuff, decides if it's acceptable, and throws a fit when you try something questionable. Makes me wonder, do we overcomplicate our punchlines when the best ones just land on the first try?
