My grocery store loyalty card is just a tracking device
Stopped at a chain in Columbus last month and grabbed the rewards card to save 30 cents on milk. Got home and checked my account, they had my full purchase history going back 4 years. Even items I returned with cash, they kept the record. The store manager told me, "We can share that with any partner we choose." That's not a discount program, that's surveillance with a free bag of chips. Has anyone here actually read their loyalty card terms or asked to be deleted from the system?
