My neighbor made me rethink the whole fitness tracker thing
We were talking over the fence on Tuesday and he said he turned off all the data sharing on his watch because the insurance company was using step counts to adjust his premium. I always figured more data = better prices, but hearing it spelled out like that, I dunno, it felt different. Anyone else got a story about their data being used against them?
Joke's on me, my insurance probably saw my step count and offered me a discount out of pity. But seriously, that fence chat would've made me yank the cord too.
