Fell for a $50 deepfake course that taught me nothing new

Paid some online guru $50 for a 'pro deepfake detection' course and it was literally just links to free YouTube videos. Has anyone else gotten scammed by those flashy claims?

$50 for a course that's just recycled YouTube links should be illegal, but the real question is why people keep treating online courses as shortcuts instead of actual skills. Deepfake detection is just critical thinking applied to video, and no paid guru can teach you that overnight. Might be time to treat these splashy ads like you would a suspicious listing and walk away before handing over your money.
