Gave $180 to a guy who promised vintage concert footage from the 70s

I collect old concert bootlegs, so when someone on a forum said they had raw film of a 1975 Led Zeppelin show, I jumped. We talked for a week over private messages and he sent a few blurry screenshots that looked legit. I wired him $180 through a payment app nobody can reverse. Turns out the screenshots were from an AI-generated fake that some guy made last spring, someone on Reddit pointed out the exact same frames. Now I double check every video by looking at hands and background people, those still mess up on deepfakes. Has anyone else been burned by fake archival footage floating around online?

...and honestly the hand check isnt even foolproof yet. I seen a vid last month where the fingers were perfect but the lighting on the crowd was off, gave it away. The bigger tell is audio, especially for old Zeppelin. Those boards have a certain hiss and room sound that AI still cant nail. You can fake the picture easy but the sound is where the scammers slip up. Next time ask for a 10 second clip of the actual audio playing, if they stall or send a file with weird compression, walk away. Also wired payments are a huge red flag, any legit trader knows to use goods and services so you can claw it back.
