Just saw a deepfake of our mayor giving a speech he never gave.

It was on a local news feed's comment section. The video said he was closing the public library. Looked totally real, voice and everything. How do you even check if something like that is fake now?

Honestly, your buddy is not alone. I swear the fake videos are getting so good now it's scary. Tbh I saw one last month that had me going for a solid five minutes before I realized. We're all gonna need a lie detector just to use the internet soon.
