My uncle's 2019 campaign video came back as a deepfake last month

Last month my cousin sent our family group chat a clip of my uncle running for city council back in 2019. It showed him saying he'd cut library funding, which never happened. The audio was off and his mouth moved weird, but my aunt believed it for a whole day until we found the original video on YouTube. I checked the upload date and someone had posted it three weeks ago with new subtitles. Has anyone else had old footage of regular people get twisted like this, or is it just politicians and celebs getting hit?
