Finally snagged a screenshot of that deleted subreddit post before it vanished
I was tracking a thread about local hiking trails that got nuked by the mods within 20 minutes. Managed to grab a full screenshot just before it disappeared, and it included a trail warning that's not on any official map now. Anyone else ever snag something deleted that turned out to be useful later?

Whoa, that's a really good catch. I've done the same thing before with some local event posts that got taken down for no reason. One time I saved a thread about a neighborhood potluck that had dates and times the official site didn't list. Turns out they changed the location last minute and only a few of us who saw the original post knew about it.

Wait actually I think that potluck thing might have been a bit different, because the official site could've just been slow to update rather than having the post taken down for no reason. But yeah it's wild how many details get lost when mods delete stuff without explanation.
