Just realized that $50 'lifetime' warranty on my backpack wasn't worth it

Spent $150 on a brand-name backpack because they promised free repairs forever. After 3 years, they deleted their warranty page and told me the policy changed. Anyone else get burned by those 'deleted' guarantees?

Did you check the Wayback Machine for the old warranty page before they scrubbed it?

Pulled up the Wayback Machine on a similar situation myself. Found the archived warranty page from 2019 that clearly stated "lifetime of the product." Emailed that screenshot to their customer service and they actually honored it after some back and forth. Took about 3 weeks of follow ups but they finally sent me a new zipper repair kit. Might be worth a try if you still have the original purchase receipt too.
