I finally looked at the traffic numbers for my Corktown coffee shop's website before and after we added online ordering. It went from maybe 50 visits a month to over 300 in six weeks.

Isn't it crazy how just putting the menu or booking online makes people actually use the site? It's like the website stops being a digital business card and turns into the front door. Before, people were just checking if you existed, but now they can actually do something. That traffic jump isn't just clicks, it's people ready to spend money right then. Makes you wonder how many other small shops are leaving that kind of easy money on the table.

My buddy's bike shop in Ferndale saw the same thing. Their online booking for repairs basically doubled their site traffic in a month.

That's wild, did they have to hire more mechanics to keep up with the extra work? It seems like once you make it easy for people to book, they just do it instead of putting it off. I wonder if the shop started getting more regular tune-ups instead of just emergency fixes. What kind of booking system did they end up using?

Our brewery in Grand Rapids saw the same jump, went from like 80 visits to 500 after we put the menu online.
