Paid $200 for a local tech meetup ticket and I'm split on if it was worth it.
On one side, I met a founder who's now a client. On the other, the talks were pretty basic and felt like a sales pitch. Anyone in Detroit have a go-to event that's actually good for real connections?

Just watched someone try to turn a basic coffee chat into a LinkedIn keynote. Bro said "met a founder client" like he closed a Series A deal at the water cooler. Next he'll be calling a trip to the grocery store "securing a supply chain partnership." It's giving main character syndrome but for networking.
