Picked local co-working over a remote setup, cost me $75 a month but worth it
I had to pick between sticking with our old vendor for IT support or going with a newer managed service that promised faster response times. Chose the newer one after a 3-day outage in March killed a whole week of sales calls. They got us back online in 6 hours during a test crash last Tuesday, which never happened before. Still nervous about the monthly fee jumping after the first year. Has anyone else switched vendors and regret it later?

Did you get the new contract terms written out before you signed, or was it just a handshake on the price? That first year discount always jumps, but the real question is if they locked in the response time guarantee too. A 6-hour fix sounds great, but you gotta know what happens when they miss it.

Ha, jokes on me, I once signed a gym contract without reading the fine print and ended up paying for a pool I never touched for two years! Point is, I feel your pain on the fine print stuff, but for real, you gotta get the SLA in writing or you're just hoping they show up when they feel like it. Nailing down the penalty for missed response times is the only way that 6-hour promise actually means anything.
