Rant: The new parking app downtown just ate my $8 and the help line is a joke
Honestly, I tried to park near Campus Martius yesterday to meet a client. I paid for two hours on the app, but it kept running and charged me for three. I called the help number, and after 20 minutes on hold, a robot just told me to email support. Has anyone else had this happen and actually gotten their money back?

Tell me about it, that app is basically a digital mugger. I emailed them about a double charge last month and got a form letter back that basically said "lol no". @felix414 is right, it just vanishes into the void.

Ugh, that's so typical. Did you ever send that email, or is it just lost in the void now?

Whoa, hold on, I gotta disagree here. Honestly @felix414, I think sometimes people just don't put in the effort and then blame the company. I've had the exact opposite experience with that app - I submitted a refund request once, got a real person on the phone in under 10 minutes, and they sorted it out same day. Tbh, if you're getting form letters, you might be using the wrong contact method or not following up enough. Ngl, companies have bad systems, but a lot of times it's on us to push harder.
