That coworking space on Woodward I tried for 3 months
I signed up for that new TechTown coworking spot back in January. Paid $350 a month for a dedicated desk but the WiFi went down like twice a week. Learned that cheap rent doesn't mean much if you can't actually get online. Has anyone else had better luck with the spaces over in Corktown?

You learned that cheap rent doesn't mean much if you can't actually get online" - I gotta push back on that a little. My buddy has a desk at that same TechTown spot and he swears by it. He told me the WiFi issues were mostly fixed after the first month, they brought in a new provider. And honestly, $350 for a dedicated desk in Detroit is pretty good when you look at what places in Corktown charge. I looked at a few spots over there last year and they were starting at $450 for way less space. Plus TechTown has that shared kitchen and event space that a lot of the smaller places don't have. Maybe you just had bad luck with your timing.

Gotta correct you on the price though... TechTown's dedicated desks are actually $375 now, not $350. They raised it at the start of the year. Still a decent deal compared to Corktown, but it's worth knowing the real number before you tell your buddy to lock in.
