Vent: A Detroit investor told me our pitch deck had too much 'future vision' and not enough 'now'
We were showing our software plan to a group at TechTown last month, and one guy flat out said, 'I see your 5-year roadmap, but what's your revenue in the next 90 days?' We had it buried on slide 12. We changed the whole thing to lead with our current pilot with a supplier in Hamtramck and the $15k it's already bringing in. Has anyone else gotten that kind of blunt feedback and had to totally reorder their story?

Got that same wake-up call.

Yeah, that "wake-up call" feeling is real. For me it was realizing I had no savings if my car broke down. Started putting away even twenty bucks a week just to build a safety net.

Twenty bucks a week sounds good, but that's only a thousand a year. A real car repair can wipe that out fast. It's a start, but maybe not the wake-up call people think it is.
