A guy at the truck stop in Flagstaff told me I was wasting my time with OEM filters

He said the aftermarket ones are just as good and you're a sucker if you pay the extra. I mean, maybe it's just me, but I've seen too many cheap filters fail early and take out injectors. Has anyone actually run a fleet on aftermarket filters long term without issues?

Ugh, that's the same logic people use for generic medicine or store brand food. Sometimes it's fine, but with important parts I'd rather not gamble.

Disagree on the medicine part, generic stuff has to meet the same strict rules as the name brand. It's literally the same drug from a different factory. Save a ton of money for zero difference.

Seen cheap filters wreck a motor. Not worth the risk.
