Appreciation post: the breaker bar that saved me hours on a Cummins job Monday

I was doing a clutch job on a 2015 Peterbilt 579 last week out in Bakersfield. Got everything lined up but the flywheel bolts would not budge. Not even with my 1/2 impact. Went and grabbed a 24 inch breaker bar from my box and put a cheater pipe on it. Broke all 8 loose in maybe 10 minutes. That thing paid for itself right there. Anybody else keep a long breaker bar handy for the tough stuff?

Did you try heat on 'em first or just send it with the breaker?

Put a heat gun on them for a solid two minutes before touching the breaker. @the_sam you gotta be careful with that, those old breakers get brittle and snap right off. The heat loosens up the plastic so you can turn them without breaking the whole bus bar. I learned that one the hard way after replacing half a panel because of a stuck 20 amp.
