Thought that new ultrasonic injector cleaner was just a gimmick
I saw a shop in Tulsa using one and figured it was a waste of money. Then we got a stubborn 6.7 Powerstroke injector that wouldn't flow right after a normal rebuild. Ran it through their cleaner for 45 minutes and the spray pattern looked brand new. It pulled the junk out of passages we couldn't even see. I've sent three more sets there in the last month. Has anyone else found a shop with one of these machines that actually does good work?

Know that feeling. Wrote off that stuff as snake oil for years. Glad you found a shop that makes it work.

But what if the shop is just covering up a bigger problem for a while? I've seen that happen a lot. They get you feeling good with the quick fix, but the real issue comes back later. Makes me wonder if we're just paying for a temporary feel-good thing, you know?

Right? It's like finding a unicorn mechanic who actually knows their stuff.

My old Honda needed a new timing belt at 90,000 miles. The first shop quoted me for just the belt, but a second place found the water pump was about to go too. Saved me a huge repair bill later. How do you even start to trust a shop's full checkup when they all seem to see different problems?
