Tried a sun salutation after rebuilding injectors and my spine laughed at me.

Yoga is pointless when your flexibility is ruined by truck frames.

My buddy Ray works on bulldozers. He tried one of those beginner yoga videos last month, said he was gonna fix his back. The instructor said "move into downward dog" and Ray just... stayed on his hands and knees. Said his shoulders were locked up from reaching into engine bays for ten years. He turned off the video and went to sit on the couch instead.

Oliver_nguyen15's story about Ray makes me feel for all stiff-shouldered mechanics.

Imagine trying to stretch a body that's been used like a shop tool. Dude's shoulders probably only know two positions, reaching for a 10mm socket and leaning over a fender. Downward dog would feel like asking a wrench to bend. His only real stretch is the walk from the toolbox to the fridge.

Yeah, that "locked up" feeling is real, and price.ben is right to point out how common it is. It's like your body just forgets how to move any way but the work way.
